Freya rolled her eyes at her phone and shut it, setting it on the arm of the chair and allowing herself to sink back into it. What had she gotten herself into? Ryder was the biggest flirt she’d ever seen. Even worse than Logan Morrison, which was hard to top. Freya turned her head when she heard his voice. “Beautiful?” she asked, getting to her feet. “Flattery will get you nowhere,” she said, crossing her arms. “I don’t know why I agreed to do this, but I’m supposed to start trying to be nice to people or whatever,” she said, making a waving gesture with her hand. “Let’s just get this over with, shall we?” she asked, raising her eyebrows.
“Alright,” she said, beginning to walk. Freya remembered her tour with Lexi and figured she’d go the same route. “Follow me,” she told him, taking lead and walking over towards the basement door, opening it and making her way down the steep steps. Freya hadn’t been down here since she first arrived. As they reached the bottom of the steps, Freya walked into the open area of the bar. “This,” she told him, holding out her arms as if gesturing to everything, “is the bar. I somehow suspect that this is going to be your hotspot,” she said, making her way over to the bar. “Why don’t we have a shot now, maybe it will make this more bearable,” she said, pouring herself one and downing it. “Want one, or shall we continue?”
“Is it still considered flattery if it’s the truth?” Ryder said, with a mischievous smile. The smile quickly turned into a smirk as he finally realized he had a real challenge in front of him. “Ya know, you’re doing a damn good job of making me feel welcome here, love.” He feigned insult just to get Freya going. He knew he was going to have fun with her and was definitely looking forward to it. “We shall. Lead the way, gorgeous,” he said with a slight laugh.
Ryder followed close behind Freya as she began to walk and led the way for the pair. He took the door from her to hold it open and then followed her once more as they went down the steps to the basement. “A bar? Well hot damn. This place does have everything.” He laughed and walked over to the counter and smirked to himself. “I’ll have ya know that I’m much more addicted to my cigarettes than I am alcohol,” he said, teasing her. He dabbled in both, but was completely at the mercy of nicotine. “There ya go again. Making me feel welcome. Really, don’t strain yourself. And I’ll take a shot.” He hopped over the counter and poured two shots, downing them consecutively.
Freya had been reluctant to even speak up and say anything to this Ryder character, but after being cooped up in her room, she decided it might be nice to get out and perhaps spend time with one of the fresher faces in the house. Ryder hadn’t really made that great of a first impression on Freya, but decided she’d let it slide this time. If anything happened, she would just have to go to Mark. As much as she hated going to Mark for things, she knew she’d have to if Ryder got out of hand. She’d already heard a few stories about the boy that made her less than hopeful that he’d be a good friend or companion. He was just looking for someone to hop into bed with.
Freya sighed and stood in front of the mirror, applying a natural amount of makeup before pulling her hair back into a ponytail and heading downstairs. She plopped down in one of the chairs in the living room and pulled out her phone, highlighting Ryders name and clicking ‘new text message’. “Meet me in the living room if you want that tour. I’m waiting xxFreya.” Freya slouched back into the seat, sliding her phone into her pocket and staring up at the ceiling, waiting for Ryder to join her.
Ryder knew he hadn’t been making the greatest first impression in the house. He didn’t really care. He wasn’t going to give anyone a false idea of who he was. Why pretend? He still hadn’t gotten a proper tour of the house, his first one being a set up for Justice’s prank and then another prank by Fireball. He was happy that Freya agreed to show him around. She seemed fairly normal and prank free. Not to mention she was hot and didn’t seem to fall for his advances. She was a challenge. He could appreciate that.
He jumped out of bed and threw on a fresh tee shirt. Ruffling his hair and winking at himself in the mirror, Ryder felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He smirked down at the text message and replied “On my way sweet cheeks. -Ryder.” He called out to let Shawn know that he was leaving and made his way downstairs. He checked out several of the girls he passed in the hallway. Oh, I could get used to this, he thought to himself. Ryder arrived down in the living room and saw Freya sitting in a chair in the corner. “Hey there beautiful,” he said.
